A number of Top Level Domain (TLD’s) Registries have announced price increases, some of which will go into effect middle of this week. Others will increase the beginning of November.
These rate increases will affect new domain registrations, domain renewals and transfers.
The dates in which each of the domain price increases goes into effect are listed below:
* .COM increases by $0.44 beginning on Oct. 1, 2008
* .NET increases by $0.38 beginning on Oct. 1, 2008
* .ORG increases by $0.60 beginning on Nov. 9, 2008
* .INFO increases by $0.60 beginning on Nov. 1, 2008
* .BIZ domains will stay the same as the Registry announced it will not increase fees
If you have a domain or multiple domain names coming up for renewal soon, you may wish to renew them prior to the dates listed above. At the same time, to save even more money, consider renewing for multiple years.
